I fear failure, letting those around me down and not being able to carry my own weight. I in-tern used that fear as my drive. My reason for doing what I wanted to, you need to have a why, a reason as to why you are you doing this and why is it so important to you. I found mine, often times I had to dig deep to find it but it was always there. You also have to be resilient, unrelenting in what you do, to not let quit be in your vocabulary. You must be determined and have a fire with in you in order to achieve your dream, your goal.
I found mine and for the past two years I have worked harder than I have ever thought possible. Not only in body but in mind, mentally toughening myself for what is to come, and at this point I am more mentally tough than my body will be in years, but that is what counts. Because mental toughness is to physical as four is to one. "for it is your mind that will quit a thousand times before your body feels fear". I have used the drive that I have to push even when I have had nothing left in the tank. It prepares me and I know what it means to earn it. |
